I hope you’re keeping well and had an enjoyable summer spent with your family and friends. It was so lovely to be able to meet up with loved ones again after such a long time and I definitely made a point of catching with as many people as I could during the school holidays. Now the children have returned to school, for me personally, it always feels like a fresh new start to the year, more so than in January. Maybe because children are starting a new year and after a well-deserved break; my mood is brighter, I’m motivated and raring to go. I really want to focus on what I love doing and growing my business and I’m excited about working on some new projects with clients, which always provides a huge incentive.
It’s always quiet during the summer holidays for me but the last week or so I’ve received lots of new enquiries for new websites, design work and social media management, plus I’ve also had a few 1:1’s with prospective clients who are currently struggling with promoting their business. So things seems to be picking up now which is fab and certainly tells me that things are looking bright for business owners.
You may be in the motions of launching a new business or maybe you’re confused about how to take your business forward and need a helping hand. As a business owner, we often try and do everything ourselves rather than outsourcing the tasks, but if you think about it, we’re probably doing ourselves an injustice as there are always professionals out there who can do the job in hand much quicker and probably much better than us, as they have the experience and skills in what they do. So, spend time doing what you do best and make a list of all of those tasks that you could possibly look at outsourcing; admin, accounts, book-keeping, marketing, not forgetting housework and gardening!
Make a fresh start and focus on what you love doing most.
As well as keeping busy with client work, I’m really looking forward to continuing running my ‘In the Hive’ online and in person networking events and the feedback on them has been really greatly received. Networking is my go to marketing tool and one I will always recommend to clients. Just this week I received a referral from one of my lovely networking friends and I start working with the client next week, so it does work.
I’ve decided to run alternate events, so one month we’ll meet online and the following month in person. They’re great events if you’re looking to network, meet new people, promote your business and generally connect with some fantastic business owners.
So if you’d like to join us, here’s information about the next two networking events:

Click HERE for more information or to book for October’s FACE-to-FACE event.
I’m also very excited about my joint business venture with my buddy, Hannah Thompson. The Big Business Event which will certainly be a pinnacle business event for the business community in 2022, so if you’ve not already booked make sure you get in touch! To exhibit stands are only £120 or if you prefer to share with a business buddy we’re happy for you to split the costs.
Here’s what people say about the ‘In the Hive’ networking events…
What People Say…
“Love the vibe of Deborah’s “In The Hive” networking events, we have attended them since the start. Really friendly, and Deborah creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere and a great “buzz”. If you’ve never tried one, I certainly recommend that you do. See you at the next one!”
“Debbie is such a warm, friendly & organised person to work with. Her online ‘In the Hive’ networking events are great. A perfect way for small businesses to connect. I can’t wait for her face to face networking events in Grantham to start again.”
Nicola Curson, Zest Accountants
“I would recommend Debbie at Queen Bee & Co, she really took the time to listen to me and understand what I and my brand stand for, consequently her advice, strategy and designs were spot on. Thanks Debbie.”
Lindsey Atterbury, LA Private Client
“Had a great afternoon marketing session with Deborah @ Queen Bee & Co and would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs to put a little focus back on marketing, rather than concentrating on just getting through the day-to- day tasks involved in running the business!”
Paul Chapman, Chapmans Business Solutions
