Hello!
I hope you’re keeping well and had an enjoyable summer spent with your family?
Now the children have returned to school, for me personally, it always feels like a new start to the year, more so than in January. Maybe because the weather feels spring-like and the sun is out, my mood is brighter, and I am raring to go. I really want to focus on what I love doing and growing my business forward and I’m excited about working on some new projects with clients, which always provides a huge incentive.

Only last week, I worked with a new associate, Matt at My Hi Street, whom I met via an on-line networking event, to produce a fantastic video for one of my clients. All the businesses involved had such an enjoyable day and I really can’t wait to see the finished video now. It’s on days like this that I am really thankful for what I do and why I do it.

Since we’ve been in lockdown, it’s provided us with time to switch off and take time to sit back and reflect on what we really want to do and how we can market our services and products during this difficult and challenging time. Tbh, I did struggle with the idea at first but then quickly learned that if there’s a will there’s a way and there are always alternative ways to utilise all of the marketing tools available. With technology on our side, we’re extremely fortunate to live in an age of fast-moving platforms which enable us to stay in touch with each other.

I’m really looking forward to continuing running my ‘In the Hive’ online networking events and the feedback on them has been really greatly received. I’m also very excited about my joint business venture with my buddy, Hannah Thompson. The Big Business Event will certainly be a pinnacle business event for the business community in 2021, so if you’ve not already booked make sure you get in touch!

You may be in the motions of launching a new business or maybe you’re confused about how to take your business forward and need a helping hand. As a business owner, we often try and do everything ourselves rather than outsourcing the tasks, but if you think about it, we’re probably doing ourselves an injustice as there are always professionals out there who can do the job in hand much quicker and probably much better than us, as they have the experience and skills in what they do. So, spend time doing what you do best and make a list of all of those tasks that you could possibly look at outsourcing; admin, accounts, book-keeping, marketing, not forgetting housework and gardening!

If you fall into either of these categories, then feel free to get in touch and have a chat over a coffee. I’m currently offering my Business MOT packages at just £149 which will involve either a morning or afternoon getting under the skin of your business; looking at all the marketing tools you are currently utilising, and then putting together an action plan for your business. You’ll leave reinvigorated and charged to start the academic year in a positive mood, equipped with all of the right tools and some actions that you can implement straight away for your business, in order for you to thrive and grow.

“Had a great afternoon marketing session with Deborah @ Queen Bee & Co and would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs to put a little focus back on marketing, rather than concentrating on just getting through the day-to- day tasks involved in running the business!”
